Organic Vetiver Essential Oil This scent helps us to remain grounded even while it brings out our most deeply buried secrets; it is also known as the Oil of Tranquility. This earthy and woody fragrance reminds many people of a damp forest floor. It helps in calming dreams and soothing sleep and so is good where nightmares have been a problem. As an Elemental Earth fragrance, it is helpful to merchants (and others) in drawing money and keeping thieves away, showing a Mercury influence. It is also thought to promote love, especially between two gay people. Right now I have an unusual organic vetiver that is co-distilled with Mitti (baked earth) in India for a super-powerful Earth influence--and it smells fabulous! Mitti is a traditional Indian fragrance that people enjoy as a way to relive the moment that the first drops of the monsoon fall and release the stored fragrance of the baked earth. I have always loved this scent and was excited to see a co-distillation with vetiver, a match made in heaven. Combining With Other Essential Oils Vetiver combines well with the natural scents of bergamot, black pepper, clary sage, coriander, eucalyptus, galangal, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, jasmine, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, litsea cubeba, mandarin, orange, rose, sandalwood, ylang ylang, and yuzu.
