Organic Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil I never liked this scent until I smelled this particular high quality essential oil. It has a sweetly floral, almost narcotic perfume, similar to the fragrance of jasmine but to me more Maidenly and very Venus. A good aphrodisiac oil to help in unlocking inhibitions can be made by combining it with rose or jasmine (its flowers are strewn on the bed of a newlywed couple to encourage them). This fragrance is also associated with Faerie work. A body massage oil scented with this flower is said to protect against disease. This fragrance is also noted for building self-confidence, but the "extra" grade of this essential oil is considered the best in terms of being emotionally uplifting. A good combination of these various uses is healing in love or healthy protection of relationships. Also known as cananga oil. Steam-distilled from organic Cananga odorata var. genuina in Madagascar. Top Combining With Other Essential Oils The natural fragrance of ylang ylang combines well with the botanical scents of bergamot, clary sage, clove, eucalyptus, galangal, ginger, grapefruit, jasmine, lemon, litsea cubeba, orange, mandarin, palmarosa, patchouli, petitgrain, roman chamomile, rose, sandalwood, vetiver, and yuzu.
