This hand-compounded incense is crafted from ingredients typical for honoring Exu in incense: myrrh (which for us resonates quite a bit, since it is usually connected to dark spirits in European magical practice), cloves (sweetening but warm), black pepper, cinnamon, a little chocolate, and more. It's a good idea to add some red flowers and perhaps a bit of cachaca, a high proof liquor made from sugar cane juice popular in Brazil and often used in Kimbanda rituals. Exu is a powerful crossroads spirit, teacher and trickster, not to be approached lightly. His day is Friday, his colors red and black.
