 Oil for the Beloved
Dead
This oil is
based on myrrh, which has long been used for cleansing the bodies of
the dead and for working with the Underworld. I have sweetened it with
opoponax (aka "sweet myrrh"), which I consider to be the higher vibration of
myrrh. It is given smoothness and richness with my own all-plant formulation of ambergris.
This scent is soothing but also evokes the mysterious depths,
that which we cannot now know or see. I have also added geranium absolute
for its deep rich greenery, which reminds us that those who are gone
live on, their lives bound up with ours for always. This peaceful oil is good for comforting the grieving and for
honoring and remembering those who are gone from the physical
plane. Nice for Samhain also. I now also have it in an incense
version.
