Lilith's Delight
Oil
Lilith has many faces. She is characterized as a spirit roaming the night
air, as the replacement in the modern world for the Shekhinah
(the consort of the Tetragrammaton), as the Queen of the Four
Orders of Demons, as the female ruler of the Qlippot
(the evil husks that encapsulate sparks of the divine), as a
baby-robbing demon, as a succubus, as a representative for the
empowered feminine divine, and more. We can safely say
that Lilith is strongly connected to night/left-hand/"sinister"/dark
aspects of the divine and of spirituality. The white oleander,
a plant with very Saturnian energy, is extremely poisonous
(although the oleander absolute in this oil is in no way toxic),
but its white flowers release a rich perfume at night. That's
why Harold chose it for an oil in Lilith's honor. The oil's scent
starts out with a combination of oleander, ylang ylang, and
citron and gradually morphs to warm, rich vegetal fragrances
like fir balsam. It is good for work with chthonic spirits and Qlippot.
