Created at customer request,
this oil is intended to aid the user to connect with the feminine
spirit who guards mysteries and secrets. I combined frankincense
(as reference to Jesus and all Sun spirits), damask rose, which
stands for the feminine aspects of the divine and for mystery (the
petals of the rose enfolding it), with spikenard, with which it
is said Mary Magdalene anointed Jesus, thereby inducting him into
a body of secret knowledge. I expanded the scent with Mercury-ruled
fragrances, because Mercury rules over hidden knowledge--citrusy
resinous elemi, a wonderful Spanish lavender that is fruity instead
of camphorous, and touches of other Mercurial herbs. The rosey resins
blend well with the higher toned Mercury scents. Good for anointing
initiates and for aid in the acquisition of secret or hidden knowledge.
I love the expression on her face in this picture: "Are you
up to it?"
