 Netzach Oil
(Venus),
Hermetic Qabalah Style
This sephirah
of the Tree of Life is known as Victory in Hermetic Qabalah.
It is ruled by the planetary energy of Venus and is represented
in deities such as Hathoor, Aphrodite, Bhavani, Freya, and the
Roman goddess Venus. In the Tarot, it is manifested in the four
sevens. Its colors are amber and emerald, its stone is the emerald,
and its chakra is the solar plexus. It is related to sexual
love in the material world. Just as Hod,
its opposite on the Hermetic Tree of Life, corresponds to the
intellect, Netzach corresponds to feelings, wants, and
moods. Its vice is selfishness; its virtue, selflessness. Its
perfumes are benzoin, rose, and red sandalwood (which actually
does not have a scent, but the color is important to Venus).
I've constructed this rich-smelling magick oil from benzoin, rose, rose
geranium, rosewood, and some sandalwood. It is balsamic without
being overly sweet.
