High Quality Flower waxes
|
These waxes are a
great way to add floral scents to
solid perfumes, poppets, candles, and more. They are a by-product of the production
of absolutes. The petals are put into a vat and a solvent added,
which extracts the absolute. The solvent is evaporated out and alcohol
is added to remove the next phase of the fragrance, a concrete -
which has a softer fragrance of the original plant material. Finally
the alcohol is removed, and the plant waxes, naturally contained
in the petals and still holding some of their scent, are left. I
am discontinuing the waxes, as I have found that the quality varies
from batch to batch too much and the price has risen dramatically
has they have been discovered by cosmetics companies. |

This tuberose wax is definite improvement over the tuberose wax I was getting previously. This is a dark gold color with a wonderful flowery scent. It is the byproduct of the extraction of tuberose petals and offers a much less expensive and natural way to incorporate tuberose into solid perfumes, poppets, candles, soaps, and lotions. The tuberose is sacred to Venus, although it has a lot of Moon in it too. It is Venus-like in the way it is said to arouse eroticism and to attract romance, but it also helps calm and bring serenity (Moon-like). Top |
