These waxes are a
great way to add floral scents to
solid perfumes, poppets, candles, and more. They are a by-product of the production
of absolutes. The petals are put into a vat and a solvent added,
which extracts the absolute. The solvent is evaporated out and alcohol
is added to remove the next phase of the fragrance, a concrete -
which has a softer fragrance of the original plant material. Finally
the alcohol is removed, and the plant waxes, naturally contained
in the petals and still holding some of their scent, are left. I
am discontinuing the waxes, as I have found that the quality varies
from batch to batch too much and the price has risen dramatically
has they have been discovered by cosmetics companies.

This tuberose wax is definite improvement over the tuberose wax I was getting previously. This is a dark gold color with a wonderful flowery scent. It is the byproduct of the extraction of tuberose petals and offers a much less expensive and natural way to incorporate tuberose into solid perfumes, poppets, candles, soaps, and lotions. The tuberose is sacred to Venus, although it has a lot of Moon in it too. It is Venus-like in the way it is said to arouse eroticism and to attract romance, but it also helps calm and bring serenity (Moon-like). Top
