 Star Anise Essential Oil
Star Anise can be a wonderful New Moon
scent, and we incorporate it in our Dark of the Moon oil
for that reason. Oddly enough, Cunningham considers star anise a
substitute for hemp in aromatics amd includes it in his formula for Air
incense. It is also connected to The Star in the tarot deck, logically
enough, and through that to the sign Aquarius, so it is a good
ingredient for an Aquarian oil. Some consider it to be protective, and
others make it a part of rituals for the acquisition of wealth. Many
recommend it for awakening psycic ability, and indeed there is
something about its dark licorice scent that reaches deep inside a
person. Steam distilled from Illicium verum fruits in Vietnam. Top

The
sweet licorice scent of star anise combines well with benzoin, caraway, carrot
seed, cassia, clove,
and patchouli.
