Four Elemental Fire Oils |
Ember, This oil is for tapping into what is hidden (as embers are hidden beneath a dull coating of ash), for endurance and preservation (as embers can remain burning overnight when properly banked up), and for keeping secrets or for hiding in plain sight. The cinnamon scent of cassia, warm musk of angelica root, smooth sandalwood, spicy floral coriander, and the wine-warm scent of opoponax (an especial help when dealing with the hidden or for perserverance) combine well with the labadanum. Flame As the flame illuminates, this oil is for help in illumination an occult topic, for revealing truth, and for evelation, as well as for strength to hold fast to one's principles or decisions. Includes the powdery warm scent of nutmeg, spicy cardamom, sweet allspice, clove, blood orange, and more on a base of labdanum. Top |

Bonfire We reserved the hottest scents for Bonfire Oil, which is dedicated to assisting in rites focused on transformation (as the Phoenix) or on destruction (which need not be negative--it could be to destroy bad habits or pesky spirits). The spices of cinnamon, black pepper, and ginger warm up cedar, fir balsam, and frankincense, which lend their grandeur and power and are grounded with labdanum. Top |

Smoke This oil is focused on the spirit aspect of Fire and helps in work with the spirits, the dead, or communication between worlds. It can also, however, be used for disguise or for feeding spirits (according to the Zohar, sweet smoke and perfume are food for the soul, including the souls of spirits). Fiery olibanum is paired with the sweet woodiness of rosewood, balsamic amyris, musky ambrette, and a touch of smoky, leathery cade combined with the sweet incense of labdanum. Top |
