Dark of the Moon Oil
I created the formula for
this oil in an attempt to capture the
silent dark of the New Moon. It evokes cool, wet woods and fertile earth
by combining the scents of ravintsara (a more elegant and sweeter version
of camphor), star
anise, oakmoss, juniper berries, valerian root, vetiver root, and black
poppy seeds in jojoba. The fragrance is woodsy, earthy, mossy, and rooty
but also gets some smoothness from the poppy seeds and sweetness from the
star anise. This magic oil is good for exploring what is hidden in oneself, getting to
the root of a matter, gathering strength from the Earth, and wandering on the
