Alchemy Works Herbs for Magic
The following magickal herbs have historically played a role in Paganism, traditional witchcraft, Wicca, and ceremonial magick. Click on the planet/Element to find out about the herb's planetary correspondence and how it fits with particular deities, stones, times, magickal work, and so forth. These magic herbs come in compostable packets (made from wood waste) instead of the resealable plastic baggies I've been using for years. The glassine bags are much nicer and sustainable. All are offered for use in spiritual ritual and magick, not for medicinal purposes. Unfortunately, some herbs by law cannot be sold to people under 18. Those herbs are marked. Enjoy exploring what plants have to teach us, but respect Gaia's power. Just because it's an herb doesn't mean it can't hurt you; there are a number of baneful herbs on this list. Please note: recently I came across comments on a forum re concerns that shop owners somehow metaphysically mess with the herbs they sell. I have never heard of a merchant doing this--just for starters, who has time?--and certainly would never do it myself. Even the herbs I grow myself I don't put any strictures on that they be used for this or that; I just pay attention to them and harvest them happily, whatever they are. I consider that customers have the right to use an herb in whatever sort of magic they desire. My job is supply a good, clean herb that is correctly identified and of good quality. What I will not do is sell herbs to people to get high, which is illegal for me to do, or to poison people or animals, which is illegal and furthermore unethical.
